At Lumbee River Flutes, every flute is handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Because each instrument is individually made, we take great pride in ensuring quality before shipping.
However, if an issue arises with your order, please review our policy below for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival.
If your flute or item is damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To report a damaged or defective item, please email:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item and packaging
  • A short description of the issue

Once reviewed, we’ll notify you of approval for a replacement, repair, or refund, depending on the situation.

⚠️ Important: Items damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or normal wear and tear are not eligible for refund or replacement.
 

Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items

Because our flutes are handcrafted musical instruments, certain items cannot be returned:

  • Personalized flutes
  • Used or played instruments
  • Items returned after 14 days of delivery

We do not accept returns for sound preference, appearance differences, or minor variations in tone, wood color, or grain—these are natural characteristics of handmade flutes and part of their unique beauty.

Exchanges and Refunds

Exchanges

Exchanges are offered only for damaged or defective items. Once we confirm eligibility, you may return the original item for an exchange of equal value or store credit.

Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method.
Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a damaged product.

Return Process

To initiate a return or exchange

  1. Wait for return approval and instructions.
  2. Ship the item in its original packaging and condition to the address we provide.
  3. Once received and inspected, we’ll notify you of your exchange or refund status.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a verified defect or error on our part.
